Graduation, Cocoa Brownies, and Support the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital! (Pretty please)

Hey all,
So I finally graduated this past Saturday! Boy, was the process long, but it was a lot of fun. My family and friends were there to cheer me on, and I loved every minute of it.

I know I've been lagging with my posts, but now I'm ready to catch up.

Last week, I had a bake sale for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital as part of a fundraising event to raise money. I had a made a tray of these delectable cocoa brownies here.

It sold like hotcakes - literally and figuratively. People loved these brownies and I can understand why. They were chocolatey and divine. And you can never go wrong with a moist fudgy brownie.

The recipe is from Smitten kitchen and it was a complete success. I didn't change the recipe this time around since I wanted it to be the best for the bake sale, but feel free to cut down on the sugar.

Here's what it looks like when I mixed the melted cocoa+butter+sugar with eggs:

Then after adding the flour and mixing it until just mixed:

And after it's baked:

So try it out for your next party or just for yourself. I promise I won't tell.

Also if you are interested in supporting a good cause, here's a link for the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital race that my team is taking part in. If you are interested in supporting us, we are Red Wings Rule (yes! I do support the Wings) and feel free to donate to the team (the site gives your instructions). Everything goes to the hospital and any donations are welcome.

Thanks again for putting up with the delay.

Now I'm off to Yosemite for a short break before I head to Michigan, but before that happens, I'll post a little somethin'.
